Workshop Levels

The event offers a variety of workshops:

  1. Open to All — Anyone can attend.

  2. Levelled — Open to those who are eligible to compete in Intermediate or Advanced WSDC divisions.

Open to All Workshops

These are designed to be inclusive and focus on core skills that benefit dancers of any level. The themes are a guidance and it will be up to the discretion of each teacher as to which element they teach.

  • Total Technique: This is about connection, partnering and improving fundamental technique using either basic patterns or a more complex pattern.

  • Musicality: This is about critical timing, matching your dance to different genres, partnering skills, or structuring your dance to the music.

  • Movement: This is about improving body awareness, balance, styling and footwork.

  • Seminar: Grab a seat and soak up the knowledge from your inspiring instructors!

  • Competition and peer practice sessions for each level: Novice, Intermediate and Advanced/All Star.

Levelled Workshops

  • Intermediate-level: Open to those who are eligible to compete in Intermediate WSDC division.

  • Advanced-level: Open to those who are eligible to compete in Advance WSDC division.

Add-ons

  • Swingtensive with Maxime and Torri ZZaoui. A 4-hour intensive designed to take your WCS to the next level. This intensive covers technique and classic moves, with an emphasis on musical expression and dancing with style. £60 per person (available with a NYSF Full Pass or Party Pass). Book via your danceapp account.

  • Competition feedback - mini private lesson: Book 15 minutes with a judge! Bring a recent competition video and get instant feedback. Separate fee and available to book at the event. A list of Judges taking part and their fee TBC.
